Shirts and Ties for Ebye

So my good friend Natalie Weight's parents are serving an LDS mission in the Marshall Islands and they came for a quick trip in March for their sons funeral (very sad) and as we talked with them they talked about the men there not having enough white shirts and ties and those who did kept them with them every where they went in a back pack. We decided to do a little shirt and tie drive to send back to the island with the Mills the response was HUGE. We collected over 100 shirts and even more ties. It was so exciting. Here are some pictures of the men receiving their shirts and ties.

I was so super excited and nervous about this marathon. This was my 1st full marathon. I was lucky to have my 2 sisters Maria and Janice run it with me. Also my brother-n-law Jason (Maria's husband). Greg (Janice's husband) ran the half so we started together and he broke off at mile 4.

We drove up to the finish line, where we parked, and then caught Trax to take us the 25 min to the start area which was at The Legacy Bridge, on The University of Utah campus. We hit the porta potties right away, the lines were long (shocker). We had about 10 min till the gun went off, so we made our way to the start line madness.

Yes, my cute sisters and I wore matching outfits. My sister Janice saw these cute skirts in SLC and bought one for all 3 of us. (Thanks Janni) I made the cute headbands (activeheadbands.com)

The half marathon and the Full marathon start together and then we spilt off at mile 4. So we were able to run the first 4 miles with Greg.

I didn't really have a time goal, I just knew I wanted to come in under 4 1/2 hours. By mile 13 I totally hit the wall. I never hit the wall in any of my long runs so this was very new to me. It sucked. At times I would get some energy back but it would never last very long. It was a long next 13 miles. I couldn't have done it without the crew. They cheered me on gave me inspiring words help me keep form they were great. I hope I do okay in my next race June 11th cause I'm running that one alone.

At mile 24.5 we had a long up hill, headed us toward The state Capital. Once we got to the top, we turned left which ran us right past Temple Square. I was exhausted at this time. Oh man I just wanted to be done. Then we took a curve to the right and there was the finish line and my legs took off. I was ready to finish but I wanted to finish strong. This was one of the hardest things I have ever done but was so rewarding at the same time. Our bodies and minds are stronger than we give them credit. I'm so glad I was able to do this race and that I was able to do it with my 2 beautiful sisters. They are the best and I'm so lucky to have them in my life.

1st Marathon

Well it's official, I have registered for my 1st full marathon (26.2 miles)
I'm so excited I get to run this race with my two adorable running sisters Janice and Maria. They have done this distance and beyond many times. They will be great supports and help me get through the hard times when I just want to stop and I get to cross the finish line with them by my side. It is on April 16th in Salt Lake
9 more days.
So excited and nervous at the same time.

Antelope Island

My sisters are crazy.
Janice and Maria set out to run the Antelope Island 50 miler. That right I said 50. This was Maria's 3rd time at this race and her 5th 50 miler race. It was Janice's 1st 50 miler race. They started the race and then Maria's husband Jason and I went and cheered them on till they reached the first aid station at 27 + miles where we were going to jump in and finish the race with them. Maria got really sick several miles back and it was getting worse as she ran and since she has a 50 miler in Idaho in May she decided to go ahead and stop at that point so that she wouldn't get any worse. So Janice and I took off. It was a very hard thing mentally and physically for her. I mean hello 50 miles so crazy. There was lots of running, walking and even hiking all those up hills. We had a great time and I hope I was a help to her in her crazy journey. She is so tough and hard core I love her. I ended up with my longest run ever at 22.25 miles. A memory that I will never forget. Love you two beautiful sisters of mine.

Cambree finally learned how to spell all of her name. She has been writing Camb for a while and today she added the ( r ) and so we sat down and worked on the ( e ) and she has been writing her name on everything all day long. It was so cute when she finally got the e down she said to me "Now I can go to pre-school and turn 4" She is growing so fast and I love to see her reaction when she figures something out. She was so proud of herself.

Presidents Day Weekend

Thanks so our awesome friends Cyd and Ryan Lemone we got to have a fabulous weekend at their cabin right by Eagle Point ski resort and thanks to our other awesome friends Andy and Natalie for being there too. Andy turned the big 40 this last monday so we celebrated in the beauty of mother nature. It was so beautiful up in the mountains with the fresh snow. I stole these pictures from Cyd's blog cause I didn't take my camera so thanks Cyd for documenting this great weekend it was a total BLAST!!!

The well for the water somehow got empty so one day we had no water till the well was able to fill back up but with 10 kids and 6 adults you still need to go potty so we had plenty of snow to melt to fill the toilet bowls up so that we could still use the bathrooms a memory I'll never forget.

We went on the tube run on Monday and it was so fun. I was so scared cause you go so fast but once I went the first time it was so fun. You cruz down the huge hill and then we would ride the lift back up. It was a BLAST!

While the boys were skiing Natalie, Cyd and I played with the little girls and the 3 little ones in the snow around the cabin. It was butt deep and so fun to walk through. We also did front flips into the snow. This one is of Natalie

This is me and my twin sister Janice. I love her so much and I am so glad that she chose me to be her twin as well as her friend. She lives 1500 miles away and it has been hard to have her so far away. I miss her everyday and I am so glad for technology that we can talk through cell and texting and facebook. Thanks for being so good to me and for being my best friend. I love you so much! Your the BEST!!!!

Summer time fun!

Gotta have at least one Kool-Aid sale per summer. Well no better time then when your cousins are here from KY. They sold...Bottled water, Kool-aid, candy, popsicles, and headbands. They did real well the first sell, they made $30 but 2 days later we didn't do so well only $7. Yikes bit of a difference. The memories are for the kids right. Not so much fun when your the mom to see your cute little girls get so sad when no one will stop. So next time you see kids on the road selling something stop by and give them a quarter it will make their day.

The Baldwins took us bowling and laser tagging to celebrate as a family the 4th of July. The kids had so much fun bowling and were very good. After we played some arcade games and then some of us older kids and adults played a game of laser tag. I got 4th place out of 18. It was so much fun. Then we sat down for some much needed pizza and drinks. It was such a good day.

They're home. Yeah! After serving an honorable mission for 2 years in Canada they arrived home safely on Thrusday June 17th around 7:00p.m. We are so excited to have them back with us!

Happy Birthdays to my two May birthdays!

1st Cambree turned 3 on May 10th

All she wanted was princess stuff so instead of spending the money on a party we bought her princess dresses and shoes. She also wanted to have a princess cake. She is very girly.Her Princess Cake!!

2nd birthday was Marcus. He turned 13...What did I just say 13 no way I'm not that old am I. WOW time does fly.

Weekend getaway

We took off to St. George for mothers day weekend with the Drakes. We spent the day Friday hiking in Zions. It is so beautiful and the perfect time of year to go hiking.

We had the cousin sleep over friday night and Lauren and Madeleine 2 of our close neighbors cause they couldn't come to the friend party. We colored Hannah Montana pillow cases and then watched the movie. We also had brownies and ice-cream and opened presents. After lots of work getting them to sleep they still woke up early. ugh. We made a big yummy breakfast and then took them all home. We love having all the cousins together and I'm so glad they have such a close bond. (We missed you Taylor)

These are some of McKayla's school friends and some neighbor friends. We had an 80's dance party. The girls came dressed like the 80's they all did such a great job. We played Just Dance for the wii and had a competition and her friend Lauren won. Then we had a fashion show and Chloe won that contest. We had yummy cupcakes and ice-cream and opened presents then the last 20 min. we put on 80's makeup and painted nails. We had a great time!

Happy Valentines Babe!!

WOW 13 1/2 years. What a ride. We met 14 1/2 years ago right after I graduated from high school. I was just a baby (18 to be exact). We got married Aug of 96' and then started a family fast. Marcus (12 1/2) our oldest was born and then came McKayla (9) and several years later our baby Cambree (2 1/2). We have a beautiful family with lots of trials and try to grow closer with all of them. Easier said than done but we try our best. Thanks Todd for being who you are and I look forward to the future with you.

Winter Fun

We got a nice winter blast on Friday night and so when we woke up Saturday morning with 5-6 inches of snow we couldn't resist to go out and play in it. In the morning Todd and I help the kids pile up the snow into a huge mound. We came in for hot chocolate and lunch and then the kids went back out to finish the job. We had a little accident with the shovel and Marcus got a little careless and shoveled McKayla's face. Ouch! With no insurance the angels were on our side and kept it from getting to deep. The butterfly bandage did the trick.

All in all we had a great time in the snow.

Slim by Spring

Ok time to get serious again. So I did a fit challenge last fall called fit by fall and I lost 8 lbs and was feeling pretty good. Well the holidays came and I lost control and needed motivation again so I joined another challenge called Slim by Spring. I gained back everything I lost in my fall challenge and so I have a lot of work to do again. I hope to get it back off and maybe a few more. My goal is 10 lbs. Bring it on!

Halloween Party at Omniture

My brother Glen invited us to go trick or treating at his work EXTRAVAGANZA!! It was awesome. All the departments get a budget to put together a creative room. His department did NEVERLAND. It was by far one of my favorites. We met up with him and Jade and Allie and then he went back to work and we took the girls around with us. WOW is all I have to say if I was in Ahhh as an adult I can only imagine what these kids thought.

The first area we went into was called NEVERLAND. This was my brothers department. They did an amazing job and it was one of my favorites.

This is my brother Glen and he was a pirate in a ship that was built in their office. They made these cannons out of buckets with a hole and a covering on the other side. They would then dip them into fog and then pull back on a plastic thing and shoot us. It looked like a cannon was coming at you. He shot it right at my face and blew my hat off my head it was way neat. He said he had a blast doing it.

Of course neverland is never complete without captian Hook and the crocodile.

This was in another department where they did the city of vegas. There was a dance club and a wedding chapel and fake money all over the floor for them to take. There was a gamble room wtih candy poker chips to take.

There were several other rooms but with the big lines I didn't want to take pictures everywhere and slow things down even slower then it was. It took us about 2 hours to go through all the building. It was a fun way to kick off the Halloween weekend. Love you Glen thanks again for the invite. Hope to be invited back again next year.

Kennecott mines

Our neighborhood has an activity once a week and it has made this summer a little more interesting. It gets us out doing something other than trying to entertain our children with otter pops and water balloons. This past week we went up to the Kennecott mine and toured the place, watched the movie and of course posed for pictures. After we went to a park nearby and had a picnic. It was great.

Bear Lake 1/2

I know I'm a little late about 3 weeks since this race but better late than never.

Bear Lake Utah.

June 13th I ran the 1/2 marathon with my sister Jenny (this was her first one) and her husband Brian who was no where near us on the race because he is FAST!!

My sister Janice came out from KY and ran the full marthon. Her 10th to be exact.

Friday night Jenny and Brian treated us to some yummy Olive Garden in Logan Ut.

My sister Ruth who also lives in Logan was so awesome and stayed the night at Jenny and Brians with all the kids so that the 4 of us could go down to Garden City and stay at a condo there. Thanks Ruth!!

This was me Friday night being a little on the silly side. It was a rainy weekend and rain was expected during the race so we stopped and bought some garbage sacks. I only ran with the top part of my beautiful outfit.

I loved this race and will totally do it again next year. It was beautiful and I have never been so happy while running. This is the first race that I finished singing and smiling. I LOVED IT!!!!

Sisters Weekend

We had our 9th sisters weekend in Park City Utah this year. It was so much fun as always. I have 6 Sister and 2 sister-n-laws and my wonderful mom who has put up with us for so many years. We had everyone but 1 sister-n-law we missed you Sheri. We ate, shopped, layed out, took walks, went running, played games, watched a movie and just laughed. It was so awesome.

Kentucky Derby Marathon
My sister Janice did another marathon in Louisville KY and her husband Greg wasn't going to be able to be there so she flew me out to come cheer her on and watch her girls. She is a rock star because it was a challenging race. She has been sick for a couple of weeks it was HOT about 82 degrees by the time she finished the race it was hilly and windy. She held strong and finished the race strong. She is truely and insperation to everyone on what you can do if you put your mind to it. Thanks Janice for the fun week and everything else you have done for me. I love you!!!!!

Saturday was a great day. McKayla was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was such a special day. Thanks to all of you who came to support her on this day and thanks for the presents, cards, phone calls and thoughts of all of you. Thanks mom for speaking and sharing your testimony with her. She is a special spirit with lots of fire and we are excited to she the growth that she makes in her life. Thanks Todd for being worthy to hold the priesthood and baptize her. Most of all thanks to my Heavenly Father who has trusted her in my care while on the earth. I love you McKayla and hope that your testimony will grow strong and you will have the courage to choose what is right.

Birthday Girl!

This past weekend was a fun but busy one. McKayla got to celebrate her 8th birthday for two days. Spoiled!!
On Friday after school she had a really fun friend party. She invited some friends from school and the neighborhood. She had a cooking party. I made cute little valentine aprons (thanks Janine for the heart material) then they got to make sugar cookies. After they cooled we decorated then and had ice-cream with them. Then we got to dip strawberries in chocolate. YUMMY!

Friday night the cousins got to come over and have a sleepover. We had pizza and ice-cream then we painted our nails and put glitter on them. Opened present then they just hung out and didn't fall asleep until after midnight except Jade who is just like her dad always the first one asleep. They were up early around 7:00a.m. and we had strawberry crepes for breakfast. YUMMY! The cousins all went home by 11:30a.m. but Jade got to stay and play until 3:30p.m.

It was a great weekend and we love McKayla so much she is so fun and loves everyone. We love you Kayla and can't wait for the 28th when you get to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Well this has been a tough winter and i've been feeling a little blue along with so many others I know. My sister Jenny Cox is so amazing. She lives in Logan so I don't see her very often mostly when there is a family thing. She called me last thursday and asked what I was doing that day and I said nothing until Young Womens that night. She asked if I wanted to go to lunch I said oh are you going to be down here and she said yes. I asked why she would be down this way and she said to take you to lunch. I love her so much it was just what I needed. She then called so other family and we had a great lunch at the Olive Garden. YUM YUM!!!!

There was Jenny, Kylee, my mom, my dad, Sarah and Glen and Allie and Me and Cambree it was GREAT!!! I love you all!!

Not much going on

Not much to blog about. Life has sure slowed down since december. Todd started his new job yesterday and we are praying that it treats us well. Getting tired of this 3 year ich. Ready for something to stick and truely support our family. So everyone pray that Todd will do great. As for me the apron buisness is on hold for a short while till the funds are properly there to start it up right. However I did sell 2 more today (thanks Tori) and so that will put a little more food in our mouths. The kids are doing good other than Marcus who has had a nasty cough for about 5 days. Has missed 3 days of school we will cross our fingers that tomorrow he will be good enough to send him back. Take care everyone stay safe and love everyone around you!!!

Snow anyone?

16 plus inches of snow. This is on my back deck and it is still snowing here in PG. We got about 10 inches since yesterday. It is much needed snow and will be benificial for us this summer but come on is it winter or what. It's been years since wev'e had such big snow storms.

Sewing lessons

Ever since I started sewing all the aprons in december McKayla has been begging me to teach her how to sew and I would keep telling her later. Well today she asked again and so I told her yes. She was so happy. Here are some pictures of the fun project. We started simple and taught her how to make a bag. We cut it out and then with a little guidance she sewed it together. She did a good job and with a little practice she will be great.

So I went to the temple yesterday with my sisters and brother n law (thanks Maria for setting that up) and when I was in the session this pattern POPPED into my head and it keeps bugging me so this morning I said ok I'm going to try and put whats in my head into action. There are a couple of things that I'm going to tweek but for the most part it's pretty much what was in my head. Tell me what you guys think and if I should sell this pattern. Each of the tiers are layered and it is all still double backed they are not connected they are all loose. There are no pockets I just don't know where I would put one. So what do you think?

Happy new year everyone. Hope 2009 will be a good year. I have a child turning 8 and one turning 12 and one turning 2 it will be a big year with them and the church. McKayla will be baptized on Feburary 28th and Marucs will recieve the Priesthood. HOLY COW!!! That is crazy. He is getting so big.

Last night was a fun night. We had no big plans and then my neighbors the Taylors called and invited us down. There were 4 couples and all the kids and we just hung out ate played the wii and had a good time. We left about 10:45 p.m. and came home where we rang in the new year with just the little fam. We put Cambree down at 11:00 and then Todd and the kids played the wii. Then at midnight we let Marcus and McKayla BANG some pans on the porch then came inside for some much needed bubbly. SPARKLING CIDER THAT IS. It was great and hope that this year with be anohter great one. Happy New Year!!!! 2009Cheers to another good year!!Todd's had a little to much to drink!

Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas everyone! The kids had a good one. We started the morning with breakfast at our neighbors house (the Blackhurst). Then we all went up to the development center by the temple and got to pass out presents to the residents up there. It was a great way to start the day with some service. As we passed out presents we sang christmas songs it set a great feeling of love and the love Christ has for us also. He is the reason for the season and I'm greatful for that knowledge. The kids were so great we got home around 10:45 am and then they finaly got to open presents. They truely were spoiled. We had a secret santa and they got some great things. (Thanks secret santa) After we went up to Todds parents house to get the stockings that Kami and McKay did for all the kids. Then came home for a much need nap. In the evening we went up to Sandy and had dinner with Grandpa Christie and family. It was a great day filled with love. We love all our family and are greatful for the blessing they are in our life. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Tonight was a fun night we went up to Todd's parents house and got to talk to them on skyp (they are on a mission in Canada).

We miss and love you guys Merry Christmas!Then we had dinner and then opened presents with the cousins. After Todd and I drove the kids around to look at Christmas lights then came home and they got to open their PJ's. And then off to bed it was so Santa could come. Yeah! Merry Christmas everyone.

Snow Fun!

We had our first real big snow storm and the kids had to take advantage of it. It was Cambree's first time in the snow and she wouldn't move. It was cute. Then Marcus put her on the sled and dragged her around for about 15 mintues she loved it. I wish I would have taken pictures of it.

I love thanksgiving it is so much fun. We are so blessed and had all 44 members of the Horsley Clan together this year. We spent about 4 hours together at my parents church and it just wasn't enough so about 1/3 of the family came over to my house and hung out and played games for about 3 more hours. I love all of you in my family you are all the best.

Cheerleading Camp

McKayla and her cousin Macie did cheeleading camp together last week. They practiced all week and then on saturday got to perform in front of all the families. They had so much fun learning new VIKINGS cheers and they were so cute on the floor cheering their hearts out.
I had some video of them cheering but for some reason it won't upload sorry. But take it from me them did a really good job and were so cute! GO VIKINGS!!!!

Todd had raked up the leaves and the kids and neighbors saw it and before you could blink and eye they were full force in a leaf fight. They had so much fun and then Marcus and Parker thought it would be fun to berry each other. There's nothing like a fun fall day.

Short trip to St. George

Snow Canyon 1/2 marathon November 8, 2008

I was feeling pretty good this was about mile 5 or 6

The weather was perfect about 50 degrees. Getting a little more tired this was about mile 9 or 10 The kids and Todd and Jenny went swimming Sat. afternoon

My family and I and my sister (Jenny Cox) and her family went down to St. George on Friday night. Brian (my brother-n-law) and I ran the snow canyon 1/2 marathon on Saturday. It was brutal. It was mostly down hill with a fair share of uphill but the downhill was brutal on my legs. They were so sore on Sunday I could hardly walk. It was hard but also my fastest race to date. I got 2 hours and 2 minutes and 32 seconds. It was my 3rd 1/2 and counting. My next one is in 2 months. It was Brians 1st and he did great he got 1 hour and 50 minutes. After going back to the condo and showering then pack back up Todd and I and the kids drove the 4 hours back home. It was a quick trip I wish we could have stayed longer but the kids had their primary program in sacrament the next day.

Cambree's first airplane ride. She was so good and is a total flirt and would flirt with strange men. Maybe that was her plan to flirt and get them to like her and then they wouldn't be bugged when she got a little loud. She already has figured out men.

Libby Lu

When we got to Kentucky Janice made plans for us to go to the cuttest store ever. It is at her mall and is called Libby Lu or better put. GLITTER HEAVEN Janice made an appointment for the girls to get their nails glittered makeup done with glitter and up do's to their hair with glitter. Do you see the pattern. Anything glitter goes. We picked them out a Sharpay shirt and put on their crowns and they were ready to hit the mall. It was one of McKayla's favorite parts of our trip. Any one want to finance me to open one here in Utah?

Halloween in Kentucky

McKayla, Cambree and I got to go to Kentucky to see my sister Janice for 1 week. It was so great to see them. McKayla got to trick or treat with her cousins, Taylor and Morgan. Thay also went with Gregs(Janice husband) boss and wife Joe and Wendy and their two boys Marvin and Gill. They had so much fun and got way to much candy. Here in Kentucky they only allow trick or treating from 6-8p.m. and they also sit on their porch or driveway to pass out candy. We didn't know that until Greg got home with the kids. McKayla and Taylor were of course Hannah Montanna. Little Morgie was a cute little tinkerbell. Don't worry more pictures of our trip will be coming. Stay tuned for the beautiful pictures of Kentucky. It is sooooooooo pretty there.

Horsley Family Reunion

It's about time I blog about our family reunion. Every year we go up to Heber Valley Camp. It is beautiful and worth every penny. I love my family and have so much fun with them and it's fun to get together and watch the kids play they get along so well. There was good food and good fun and laughter we also had a fun visiter we had 2 moose walk through our camp. That was really neat. I love my family and I'm so grateful for them in my life. Beat Beethoven Race

This is a little late but I've been waiting for my sister to post the pictures so I could steal them and put them on my blog because I didn't have my camera so here you go. This was the beat Beethoven race in PG at the begining of September. I ran it with my sister RaeAnn and we saw my cousin Becky there. I saw a few other neighbors also. It was a good run and I did my fastest time a 5k (3.1 miles) in 26:06. I got a special pin that said " I beat Beethoven" Everyone that finish the race before his symphony was over got one which is about 32 minutes. It was fun thanks RaeAnn.

Oh yeah I got 2nd place in my age group so I got a pretty red ribbon.

I was at the mall with Cambree today and a lady from Kiddie Kandids came out in the hall and stopped me and said that she thought Cambree was so cute and wanted to do some free pictures. So we went in and Cambree did a few "say cheese" and then we got a free picture and went on our way. Isn't she cute!

We went to Pocatello Idaho this last weekend for my nephew Nathan's baptism. It was great. I haven't been up to see my brothers house so this was a fun weekend for me. We had a good time eating yummy food from their bakery and sitting around talking and watching movies. They are so awesome and I'm sad we don't see them very much. Love ya John and Sherri. I took on a big project once the kids went back to school. I've painted the whole entire upstairs a dark tan. It looks so good and I'm happy with how it turned out. It was worth all the hours. I basically only did it when Cambree was sleeping so it has taken me a long time.

This is the living room. We got a piano from my sister and so we moved the couches downstairs where the apartment used to be and now the kids have a place to crash with friends and watch t.v.This is a shot in the kitchen.

Well last week was a full one trying to squeeze in every last bit of fun. Monday we went to 7 peaks and then thursday we went to classic skating up in sandy it is so much fun slides blow up toys arcade skating (McKayla's favorite). Then Friday and Saturday we went to the Spanish Fork Fair. Natalies friend works it and got the kids unlimited braclets. Thats the only way to do those fairs. The kids had a blast. I just stole these pictures off of my sister-n-laws blog. I was at youth conference and Todd's camera wasn't working so we didn't get any pictures of the big goodbye. Carl and Janine (Todd's parents) left on their mission to Canada on July 17, 2008. They will be serving for 23 months and we are going to miss them a lot. Well Maria called and asked if we wanted to go hiking. It was not easy with a 20lb baby on your back but we made it. It was a little longer than we expected but once we got to the pots it was all worth it other than the smell which I had a really hard time with. Stadium of Fire!!!!

We suprised the kids at dinner where we were going, they were so surprised! Can you tell how excited McKayla is. She loves Miley Cyrus.

The dare devil parachuters. They would come in so fast it looked like they were going to smash in the ground and then all of a sudden they would be stopped it was crazy.

They had a big red parachute come down over the audience.

The beautiful fireworks, they always deliver.

You gotta love hannah montana oh wait she came as Miley Cyrus herself. The concert was pretty good. She sang alot of her new stuff so McKayla only new about 3 of her songs. But it was still pretty fun. This was the best I could do on pictures of her.

By the end of the night we were pretty tired and Todd was a little crazy after a bunch of screaming girls. What a trooper to sit through Miley's concert. He did love the Blue Man Group. None of my pictures turned out of them. Thanks Todd for a good time and taking our family to the Stadium of Fire! It was a BLAST!!!

Every year Todd's famiy goes golfing in the mornig at the country club in Alpine and then those who don't golf meet up for breakfast (or should I say lunch, breakfast style). It has been a fun tradition and the kids look forward to it every year. This will be the last time until Carl and Janine get home from their mission in 2010. It is a fun time and excellent food. Breakfast is my favorite.

SISTERS RETREAT!!! Was so amazing.

Every summer my sisters and I go somewhere for the weekend. It is usually to St. George but this year my sisters boss let us use his amazing cabin up Timberlakes. It was beautiful and HUGE! We had so much fun and did a little shopping in Park City. But mostly we just hung around watched alot of movies and sat in the hot tub and ate lots of food and talked talked talked till the wee hours of the night. I love you sisters (including the two sis-n-laws) I had a total blast and needed it so bad. Lets go again anyone up for it.

This is a little delayed but our neighborhood always does a schools out party the last day of school and we rent a big blow up slide and put the hose on it and then have snow cones and then a bbq and then a outdoor movie. It our 4th year and again was a total hit.

Marcus got his arrow of light last night at pack meeting. It is the highest award to get in cub scouts. He has now moved on to boy scouts. Campouts and big boy stuff. Humanitarian in Uganda

Last night for mutual we had a lady named Suzy who just got back from Uganda. She went to help the children out there and is going back next spring. If any one wants to donate items such as....clothes, toys, wall hangings, money for school kits etc. She will herself take the things with her and personally deliver them to the african children who have NOTHING. We are so spoiled. It was an emotional evening and it makes me what to do more for God's children who aren't as lucky as we are. She said it cost around 3,000 dollars for her to go out there for a couple weeks. It would be neat to be able to save that kind of money and do a humanitarian trip. I can always dream. Maybe we can base our humanitarian project for christmas around this. or if any of the grandkids working on personal progress you could do a project around it. Do a fundraiser or make bags for the school kits. or skirts for the girls. collect donations of all kinds of items. She says money is best because she can buy things alot cheaper out there. But she would take anything. She also knows a guy who is gathering items and a big truck to ship things that way. Just let me know if anyone is interested to really opened up my eyes. I love you all and remember how lucky we are not only to have the gospel but to live where we do.

Spring Break in Park City

Well we had a great week in park city at the westgate resort. We went up with Todd's family and the grandkids had so much fun together. I was very ready to come home but the kids didn't want to leave. It's all about building memories for the kids no matter how hard it is on the adults. It was great.

Yesterday was a great but long day. Todd's youngest sister Kami got married in the Timpanogos Temple. It was a fun day with family. The girls of course looked so darn cute in their pretty little dresses. The night before all of todd's sisters and I stayed up till 1:00a.m. putting the flowers together. They turned out beautiful. Kami looked so great and I am greatful for the example that she is setting for my kids as they are old enough to remember this day. Good luck McKay and Kami. We love you.

What do you do when the sun just won't come out to play? Go sledding. Our neighbor Andy Weight got out the 4wheeler and hooked up some sleds and pulled all the kids around the street for about 1 hour. brrrrrrrrr cold. Thanks Andy the kids had fun. Love you all.

My first half marathon

What an amazing experience!!!! I did it. And I had fun. I'm already looking for another one. My time was ok. 4 minutes slower than I wanted but considering my runner poo problem 6 minutes in the bathroom I would have come in under what I wanted. My time was 2:14.29 So if any one else is ready for another let me know and we will sign up for another. In April there is a Provo city half and 5K so lets do it again as a family. It will be great. I can't believe it is over. What a wonderful time of year. I hope everyone had a great holiday and is ready to make this new year even better. Well Christmas was great and the kids got more than they needed of course. Cambree didn't quite know what to think she just kept watching Marcus and McKayla like they were crazy. She sure is sooooooooooo cute. I love her so much!!! Well the kids wore their Chirstmas church clothes today because last week we were in Las Vegas for the BYU game!! What a nail biter. Disneyland trip

Well it's about time I blog about our early Christmas present. Our trip to Disneyland.

Well December 2nd we took off to California with the Baldwin family and spent 3 days at Disneyland. It was so much fun. Marcus could ride all the rides and McKayla could ride everything except California Screamin. So for our family it was awesome because Todd, me and the kids just went from one ride to the other. Janice and Greg were so awesome to watch Cambree for 6 long days so that we could really have a good time at Disneyland. I'm ready to go back so if anyone wants to come let me know. We enjoyed Tower of Terror and California Soarin to Pirates to Indiana to Thunder mountain everthing it was awesome. love ya all have a great Christmas!!!!

I'm so excited for christmas. McKayla and Marcus helped me decorate the tree.

I love this time of year. All the lights and christmas music. There is magic in the air. Christmas is coming early for our family this year. We are taking the kids to disneyland. It will be a blast. So shopping for christmas is going to be so easy. Love that. Our present under the tree will be the pictures and video from the trip. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Love ya all.

fun filled day of sick girls

So today was fun. Todd and I and the kids stayed the night in Park City last night and McKayla and Cambree thought it would be a good time to get the flew. Cambree seems to be doing better and his keeping her bottle down. McKayla on the other hand can't keep anything down for more than a half hour. She has thrown up around 10ish times. It's been a great day. So she doesn't get to do the 1/2 mile run on Thanksgiving. So sad! Well hope everyones Thanksgiving is great. Love ya!

This is my little (big) marus man.

He is soooooo great. He is now 10 1/2 years old and is a big help around the house. He loves his 2 sisters and treats them so good. He has a strong testimony of the gospel and is very sensitive to the spirit. The Lord has truely blessed me to have him in my life. We had a fun trip to the dentist today. He got his teeth cleaned and then had 2 teeth pulled without medication. What a brave kid. He didn't even cry. He is a total stud. You are the best son I could ever ask for. I love you so much.

Can you believe it, Cambree is now 6 months old. Oh how the time flies. She is so cute and has recently started getting herself up on all fours. Due time till she is crawling all over the place and driving me crazy. I love her so much. She has such a fun spirit and keeps us laughing with the silly things she does. My family is great.
